Adjust settings to change the GIF: choose whether to keep transparency or fill it with a background color, then set color count, dithering, width, or speed. Height follows the image proportions, and images are never enlarged.
Start the conversion and review details such as frames, duration, loop, and merged frames. Download GIFs individually or download multiple results in a ZIP. Each GIF uses its original filename with a .gif extension, the ZIP is named webp-to-gif.zip.
GIF is limited to 256 colors and does not support partial transparency. With Keep selected, pixels at least 50% opaque remain visible and the rest become transparent. Semi-transparent edges blend with the chosen background color. Fill with background places the whole image on that color. Dithering can smooth gradients, while choosing 256, 128, or 64 colors changes the palette. GIFs are usually larger than WebP.
Width defaults to the original size. You can set it from 0 to 1920 pixels, with 0 meaning original width. The aspect ratio is maintained and images are never enlarged. Playback speed options are 0.5×, 1×, 1.5×, and 2×.
Guest limits are 50 MB per file, 100 megapixels, and 300 frames. A free account raises these limits to 100 MB, 200 megapixels, and 600 frames. The page accepts no more than 10 files per run, including for registered users.
Conversion requires temporary server processing. Uploaded originals are deleted after processing, while results are available for 1 hour for guests or 24 hours for registered users. EXIF and XMP metadata are not carried over because frames are re-encoded from pixels.

Can I convert an animated WebP and keep its frames, timing, and loop?
Yes. The converter reads all frames as fully composited images and carries their delays and loop count into the GIF. Delays under 20 ms are merged rather than written, while the total duration is kept.
What happens if my WebP has only one frame?
It becomes a static GIF. The result includes a note that the file has only one frame.
Can I convert multiple WebP files and download them together?
Yes. The page accepts up to 10 files per run, and the same settings apply to all. Each file is processed independently, so an error for one does not stop the others. Download each successful GIF separately, or download the results together as a ZIP when more than one result is available.
Do I need an account, and how long can I download my results?
No registration is needed. Guests can download results for 1 hour, while registered users can access them for 24 hours. A free account also raises the file-size, image-size, and frame limits. Results have no watermark.
Will the GIF be smaller than the WebP, and will it keep transparency?
GIFs are usually bigger than WebP and do not support partial transparency. You can keep limited transparency, which makes semi-transparent edges blend with the selected background color, or fill the image with a background color.
