Video to GIF Converter

Select one MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, or MKV video. Preview plays locally. If your browser cannot play it, enter times manually, conversion may still work.

Set Start and End. Start defaults to 0 seconds, End defaults to 5 seconds later, capped at the video length. Use Set as start or Set as end at the preview position to fill a time. The file list may estimate duration and frames if your browser reads the video length.

Choose frame rate, width, and optional center crop. More options contains speed and loop settings, Colors and compression contains color count, dithering, and compression. Convert to make one GIF, then download it.

Choose 1–30 fps, frame rate cannot exceed the source rate multiplied by speed. Width presets are 240–800 px, or Original (capped at 800 px). Height follows proportions, videos are not enlarged. Center crop choices: 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 9:16, 4:5, or No crop.

Speed is 0.5×, 1×, 1.5×, or 2×. GIF duration equals selected clip length divided by speed. Choose Forever, Play once, 2 times, 3 times, or 5 times. Frames are sampled at the selected rate. GIFs have no audio.

Choose 16, 32, 64, 128, or 256 colors, with Floyd–Steinberg, Bayer, or no dithering. Compression is 0–200 in steps of 5. Level 0 applies lossless optimization only, higher levels may reduce file size but add noise. File size and visual quality are not guaranteed.

Guests can upload videos up to 150 MB and 10 minutes, GIFs are limited to 30 seconds and 300 frames. A free account allows uploads up to 300 MB and 30 minutes, and GIFs up to 60 seconds and 600 frames. Output duration is measured after changing speed, at higher frame rates, the frame limit may reduce usable duration. Clips exceeding duration or frame limits are rejected, not silently shortened. Up to 2 guest or 4 account conversions can run concurrently. Site administrators may change these default limits.
