GIF to MP4 Converter
Convert one animated GIF to an H.264 MP4 with no audio. Choose a quality preset, width, repeat count, and a background color for transparent areas.
This tool requires temporary server processing. Uploaded files are automatically deleted.
Select or drop a GIF to begin. Before upload, the file list shows its frame count, duration, loop setting, and planned MP4 length. Only one GIF can be converted at a time.
Choose High, Standard, or Compact quality and Original, 1080 px, 720 px, or 480 px width. The selected width will not enlarge the GIF and is rounded to an even number of pixels. Set Repeat the animation from 1× to 20×. MP4 does not loop by itself, so repeats are written into the video.
For transparent areas, select a background color, MP4 has no transparency, and white is the default. Convert and download the MP4. You can change settings and process the file again without selecting it again.
The GIF’s frame timing is retained, and the final frame is not dropped. Delays are rounded to 10 ms, with a 20 ms minimum. Check the planned length before upload, especially when repeating a long animation. Results beyond your plan’s duration limit are rejected rather than cut short. The result shows file size before and after conversion.
For guests, the GIF limit is 50 MB, 300 frames, and 100 megapixels, and the resulting video can be up to 30 seconds. With a free account, limits are 100 MB, 600 frames, 200 megapixels, and a 60-second result. Conversion is free, requires no registration, and adds no watermark. Only one GIF can be converted at a time. Sound, transparent video, WebP, and APNG are unsupported.
The GIF is uploaded for server processing and deleted right after processing. Guests can download the MP4 for one hour, registered users have 24 hours, then it is deleted. No metadata from the GIF is carried into the MP4.
FAQ
Will the MP4 keep the GIF timing and final frame?
Each frame keeps its own timing, and the final frame is not dropped. Delays are rounded to 10 ms with a 20 ms minimum.
Will the MP4 loop automatically?
No. MP4 does not loop by itself. Use Repeat the animation to write the animation into the video from 1 to 20 times.
What happens to transparent areas, and can I add sound?
MP4 has no transparency, so transparent GIF areas are filled with your selected background color, white by default. The output has no audio track, and you cannot add sound.
What are the conversion limits?
Guests can convert GIFs up to 50 MB, 300 frames, and 100 megapixels, with a resulting video up to 30 seconds. A free account raises those limits to 100 MB, 600 frames, 200 megapixels, and 60 seconds. Longer results are rejected rather than cut short.
How long are the uploaded GIF and MP4 kept?
The uploaded GIF is deleted right after processing. The MP4 download is available for one hour for guests or 24 hours for registered users, then it is deleted.
