Remove metadata from photo

1. Select JPG, PNG, or WebP photos. Each file in the list shows the metadata detected in it.

2. Choose what to remove. Everything is selected by default. Choose lets you select metadata groups such as GPS location, camera and serial numbers, dates, author and copyright, software, descriptions and comments, XMP, IPTC, and thumbnails or hidden previews. Use Only GPS to select just GPS data, or All groups to select every group.

3. The color profile and EXIF orientation tag are kept by default. Use Keep color profile to turn profile retention off if needed. You can also choose whether to keep the original file name or add “-clean.”

4. For rotated photos, keep the orientation tag to avoid re-encoding pixels. Or choose Rotate the pixels to re-encode the image upright at quality 92. For JPG, kept EXIF data and the color profile are written back. For PNG and WebP, all metadata, including the color profile, is dropped.

5. Process the files and review the report showing what was removed and kept. Download each result in its original format.

Before sharing a photo online or sending it to someone, use Only GPS to remove location data while leaving other metadata groups unselected. If you are selling an item and want to remove more identifying details, choose the relevant groups or use Everything. The tool removes metadata rather than editing or replacing its values.

You can process up to 50 files with shared settings and download the results as a ZIP. Files above the 150-megapixel browser canvas limit are rejected. On iPhone and iPad, the approximate limit is 16.7 megapixels. No file-size limit or daily quota is specified.

The lossless path leaves image pixels unchanged, and transparency is unchanged too. The tool is free, requires no registration, and adds no watermark.
