Click or drag on the image to select a pixel, its X and Y coordinates appear in pixels. Zoom with plus or minus, use Fit or 100%, choose a level, or use Ctrl and the mouse wheel, up to 800%. From 200%, pixels appear sharp. The 11-by-11-pixel loupe includes a pixel grid. Use arrow keys to move the selection one pixel at a time.

For a palette, choose 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, or 12 colors under Main colors of the image, then extract it. Copy the palette as a HEX list. Values are text, no image or palette file is created or downloaded.
Use JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, or BMP. AVIF and BMP require browser decoding support, animated GIF and WebP use their first frame. Only one image is supported at a time. Files over 150 megapixels are rejected, on iPhone and iPad, the limit is about 16.7 megapixels. There is no file-size limit or daily quota.
For a semitransparent pixel, alpha is included in HEX (#RRGGBBAA), RGB (rgba()), and HSL (hsla()) values. The palette excludes pixels that are more than half transparent. It samples up to about 60,000 opaque pixels and sorts colors by image coverage, making the palette a summary of prominent colors rather than every pixel.
HSV and CMYK are formula conversions from RGB, without color or print profiles, so they are not profile-accurate print values. EXIF orientation is applied when the image is read.

How do I pick a HEX color from an image?

Can I fine-tune the picked pixel?
Yes. Zoom in to inspect pixels, use the 11-by-11-pixel loupe and its grid, then click a pixel or use the arrow keys to move the selected point one pixel at a time.
Which image formats can I use, and what happens to animation?
Supported formats are JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, and BMP. AVIF and BMP depend on browser decoding support. Animated GIF and WebP inputs use only their first frame.
Can I pick colors from multiple images, and is my image uploaded?
